This is an “answer song” to Princess Nukata’s song per Vol.1-20. 　People, or perhaps Nobilities at least, in the ancient times of Japan seem to have had a fairly open-minded and outspoken attitude toward love, love affairs, romance, and this exchange of songs was said to have been made openly in a banquet held after the hunting event, attended by the song makers themselves and other friends and guests, including the Emperor. People seemed to have been quite receptive to this atmosphere, rather than averse to love affairs and romantic emotions coming out publicly.
