This is another love song made by Yakamochi and sent to his wife, Sakano-ue.
“Love Song” is one of the main genres in Man-Yoh-Shuh, and there are many love songs
sung between men and women, and often exchanged, one after the other. We saw a
sample of “exchange songs” in the ones made by and between Princess Nukata and
Ooama-no Miko (Emperor Tenmu), i.e. Vol.1-20 and 1-21.
