我もの申す
夏痩せに
よしといふものそ
鰻とり食せ

Iwamaro-ni
Ware mono mousu
Natsuyase-ni
Yosi-to ihu monoso
Munagi tori mese
You want to repel
Pinin’ away from summer heats?
I can tell you, pal,
Food to take is said to be
Nothin’ but a good broiled eel!

This is a light-hearted piece of Tanka Yakamochi made for a friend of his, half caring about his health, half teasing. I put “Phew!” there, as it may fit the occasion.
