This month’s song is another of Junko Akimoto tunes, “Yuunagi – Watashino Jikan”, in the original Japanese title. I did an “atmospheric translation” on the song, and gave a title to the English version, “Evening Breeze”.
“Yuunagi – Watashino Jikan” literally translates into “Evening Lull – My Time”, but I thought the song’s mood would be better off with the “Evening Breeze”. I thought that “breeze” would carry a more romantic atmosphere rather than “lull”, (at least in English language), and be better suited to the beautiful melody of the song. I sing it as I play keyboard, with four half-tones up, with bossa nova rhythm.
